Yield: 11 (3/4-inch) slices
3 | cups | sifted all-purpose flour | |

1 1/2 | teaspoons | ARM & HAMMER Baking Soda | |

1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |

1 1/2 | cups | low sodium shredded Cheddar cheese | |

2 | eggs | ||

6 | tablespoons | distilled white vinegar, plus skim milk to make 1 1/2 cups liquid | |
|
|||
1/4 | cup | shortening, melted | |
|
|||
1 | teaspoon | caraway seeds (optional) | |
|
Sift flour, baking soda, and salt into mixing bowl. Add cheese; mix well. In small bowl, beat eggs, and combine with liquid and shortening; blend well. Stir in caraway seeds, if desired. Add all at once to flour mixture, and mix lightly. Turn into greased 9x5-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 F. for 70 minutes or until done. Remove from pan; cool several hours or overnight before slicing.
